"CHOOSING BABY' GENDER/SEX": DO TIPS ON "HOW TO CONCEIVE A GIRL/BOY" REALLY WORK?

There has been a lot of medical research and many articles written on this seemingly ‘up-to-the-creator’ subject. Let me first put it clear that I’m no expert in this, and I’m just an interested woman who has two boys and would like to, if at all possible, influence/choose the gender of my next baby. I am also not desperate enough to try some of the odd methods to conceive a girl/boy I have read about. I will share some of them with you.

"Non-scientific/non-medical methods of choosing whether you conceive a girl or a boy"

Some old wives’ tales include the woman putting in baking soda in her private areas if she wants to have a girl. This would obviously stem from the theory about the acid-alkaline balance, which I am yet to understand. I won't be trying this one forsure and please I wont be held responsible for anything that you elect to try.

Another scientifically-based theory is that if a man wears tighter underwear, it would temper with the quality of the sperm and would result in a diminished ability to produce a girl.

For me, the most understandable theory lies in the explanation that the female-making or the female sperm is a bit chubby and slow-moving, and it would help for a woman to time sex a few days before ovulation. The female-sperm can apparently live up to three days as opposed to her quick-to-pass-out male counterpart (you go girl! (; - a wink to you ladies). Does it not, in a way, answer the question why women outlive men? Well, it does for me.
