Religious Relationships: What does the Bible say about love and relationships?
Religious Relationships - Religion and Relationships -: The Bible tells us in so many ways to love one another as human beings and to love our partners - particularly for men to love their wives. Once married, man and woman become one. By loving your spouse, you are actually loving yourself. An instruction to Love your spouse is a huge favour from God, that's why we need to pay attention to our 'religious relationships' by following what the scriptures say. Our romantic relationships need to be religiously complacent & compliant.
Show your love and devotion for each other. If you are religious, this shouldn't be difficult. It is sad to see how badly some of the leaders in our churches treat their spouses once they live the church building. It is important to realise that the greatest sermon we can ever preach is not spoken, It is lived! Love your Wife; Love your Husband; especially behind closed doors, when no one is watching - when it is not an act. I like this Tunisian Proverb, "Reputation is what you are in the light, Character is what you are in the dark."
Biblical Love Quotes to Enhance your Religious RelationshipReligious relationships: Here's some of my favourite biblical sayings about love: the Holy scriptures on love "Drink Water from your own well - share your love only with your wife. Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you." - Proverbs 5:15-18 "I may be able to speak the languages of human beings and even of angels, but if I have no love, my speech is no more than a noisy gong or a clanging bell. i may have the gift of inspired preaching; I may have all knowledge and understand all secrets; I may have the faith needed to move mountains, but if I have no love, I am nothing. I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burned - but if I have no love, this does me no good." - 1 Corinthians, 13:1-13 "Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love makes up for many of your faults." - 1 Peter 4:8 "If someone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." - 1 Timothy 5:8 "There are three things that remain - faith, hope and love - and the greatest of these is love." ~ Unknown "Let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and truth" - 1 John 3:18 Thought this one deserves to be on this page too-:) "Try to forget yourself in the service of others. For when we think too much of ourselves and our own interests, we easily become despondent. But when we work for others, our efforts return to bless us." - Sidney Powell
