INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS AND SKILLS: HOW TO DEVELOP HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS
"INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS" Interpersonal Relationships / Inter-personal relationships can also be referred to as friendships, correlations, interrelations and interconnections with people. Our relationship with the people we live, work and come into contact with on a daily basis, is all a reflection of ourselves. How we look at, care for, and relate to ourselves impact greatly on how we relate to other people.
Some people think interpersonal relations are only important in corporate and formal environments. Even though it is important to relate well with clients and co-workers, it is even more important how you treat an ordinary person (a stranger, for example). In my opinion, it is more important and valuable to treat someone to whom you don’t have to be nice to, with respect, courtesy and dignity. If you do not treat other people with dignity and respect, you will become a bitter person, if you are not one already. If you are happy and content with yourself, you tend to treat people better, conversely, if you don’t treat people well, you will become unhappy and bitter. This will make "interpersonal relationships even more complicated and difficult. HOW TO DEVELOP AND IMPROVE YOUR INTERPERSONAL SKILLSDEVELOP INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: BE KIND, NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT IT SEEMS
We need to acknowledge that there is a person inside each and every single one of us - whether we are rich or poor, black or white, big or small. There is a life in there, a story to be told. There is wisdom, experience and pain. This quote by Mother Teresa sums it up nicely, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle.” We may differ in tastes, opinions, esteems, and we have to be different; but basically we all want the same things out of life. We all want to be free, to love and be loved, we want to be financially secure, free from illnesses, and we just want to be happy. We don’t have to like everyone nor approve of their values and lifestyles; we just need to see the world through their eyes and to perhaps understand where they come from. That way we can live with them, work with them and just be at peace with their person. "INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS" - related booksCAUSES OF RECURRENT HEADACHES IN CHILDREN
